Well. You all…. or at least @Muchmore asked for it….
14 *bleeping* days. Two weeks away. At this time in two weeks I’ll be somewhere in Indiana and close to Victoria National. So what can Fresca help me with today?

We’re packing!! Well actually I’ve been packed for about a week but I’m constantly unpacking and repacking. And Fresca is helping me make smart decisions.
Some of you might ask ….
Why? I like to be prepared!
Will it help? Nope!
But Fresca and I did check the extended forecast for Newburgh Indiana and reminded me that maybe packing an umbrella and some rain gear might be smart. Also the Theragun is a must for a 44 year old superstar like myself. Couple pairs of shoes and plenty of balls (don’t worry I have more) are making the trek too. Those Anime Gods balls will be the first ones to find the drink, for sure.
This man is prepared! I love it!
I hope you come back with a good number of those balls.

That’s some serious preparation to be packing already!! I would run out of clothes if I packed that far in advance. hahahaha Stoked for you and hope there aren’t too many more unpack/repacks before the trip!

I anticipate at least two more re-packs. When JB told me they had some scripting it added some more pressure. :ROFLMAO:
Hardest part for me is determining the weather in Southern Indiana in April. Here we’re looking at snow and rain for the foreseeable future.

Looks Like good weather except travel day!
13 days to go. Today it’s all about gratitude. My pal Fresca is helping me with that. The refreshing and crisp taste almost makes me tear up a bit as I take a stroll down memory lane.

It’s not lost on me how lucky I’ve been at THP. Was talking with @jayronmillz10 the other day about all the contests I’ve won, testing I’ve been lucky enough to participate in…and the events? Kind of mind blowing when you run it all back in your head. I’ve been around since 2010 after stumbling through the Internet, looking for help on regripping clubs. Been here a long time but still. This place is amazing and I’m thankful daily for what’s it’s given me. If only I could transfer my luck here into winning the Powerball or something. :ROFLMAO:
You’d think with all the the stuff I’ve been a part of I’d be a much better golfer too, but THP has not given me the magic pill for that…not yet anyway. ?
So whether it’s the Hideaway flag that @Muchmore so graciously gifted me. My Grandaddy brothers who I talk to daily and all the memories of 2021. The pictures of our Myrtle Beach Trip with one of the most fun crews imaginable. All the ball markers I’ve collected over the years. The countless number of items and trinkets and thoughtful gifts from THPers. Geez… and that’s only part of it. It’d take me hours to go through everything.
Grateful to be a part of this forum. The relationships I’ve built out of this place will last a lifetime. And I’m only building more. Only chatted with the guy on the phone/zoom a couple times but @jayronmillz10 is gonna be a good one. I can tell that already. He gets it. He loves the game and he’s been bitten by the THP bug. He’s asking the right types of questions and he’s thankful for the journey. Hopefully I’m helping him along the way and can play a tiny bit of good golf in a couple weeks. Can’t tell you guys enough how excited I am for this Shaft Up and the time I get to spend with him, JB and Danny.

Shaft Up is such a fun experience to follow! Im sure you’ll leverage that THP experience to bring us all along! Looking forward to following!
12 Days. March Madness is fitting because the weather is putting a damper on my outdoor practice sessions. After a week of 50s and 60s we’re back to a possible 8 inches of snow tonight. I’m going a little stir crazy.
So I’m kicking back and watching tournament basketball tonight. Unfortunately my 4 year olds dreams of Long Beach State winning it all are already busted. Probably because he prefers Sprite. If he drank Fresca he’d make smarter picks. ?

LOL. This is my 4 year olds bracket and he chose all the schools based on how funny he thought their names were and/or his grandparents had vacationed there in the past.
That said I hope Marquette loses by a billion. Go Badgers. ?

Fresca is helping me stay refreshed during an intense indoor putting session. The All-In putter shaft is phenomenal and even though I haven’t found anything as fast as the greens at Victoria National I keep getting more and more dialed in with the flatstick. Maybe I’ll try putting on the driveway next…if it ever stops snowing. ?
This week flew by and I have no doubt next week will be even faster.

Can’t believe we are this close man!
Just read through the shaft up at Victoria National in 2022. A few things I learned from it.
1. I’m probably lucky we are going in April as opposed to June humidity lol
2. @JB did you really play the whole time with only needing 6 balls? I saw what was lost on the first round haha
3. Dormie Network does it right, and I mean everything.
4. Keep the ball in play. Don’t get into the rough if possible.
5. @DannyLe I cannot wait to get fit with you. Absolutely unreal the numbers you can get out of someone!
6. Win the Par 3’s.
7. Maybe buy the 4 dozen chrome tours for $165 right now. You don’t want to have to beg @JB for balls
Can’t wait!

It’s easy to lose balls if you don’t trust your swing. You don’t have to hit straight, you just have to trust your ball flight. Don’t fight the fade or the draw

And it’s not just the water! The rough may just swallow up a number of balls if it is grown out like it was at the last experience.

We’re down to 10 days. Almost single digits. 😳 All that time I thought I had to prepare is gone. Now it’s getting real. Getting a little nervous about those first tee jitters. Wondering if I should buy more golf balls. Curious if my credit cards can handle the pro shop.
So I thought maybe today we’d do a little get to know Nappy better. Obviously we know my favorite drink is Fresca (it really isn’t) but what else can I tell you about myself that you may want to know? Maybe some of you could care less and that’s fine too. I’m not as interesting as our resident moose farmer @Muchmore.

Real Name: Michael (if you call me Mike my mother will hunt you down)
Where Does Nappy come from: Last name is Riemenapp so Nappy comes from that. I’m also referred to as Remi (no clue why). Nappy Roots according to Eli Miller (formerly Cleveland/Srixon). Or ‘Hey Dude Man’ as my 4 year old calls me.
Age: 44 actual. Feels like 56 most days.
Married: To the game. Also yes. 7 years of joyous bliss …for her.
Kids: Sophia 6 and Elliott 4. Sophie is the brains and my earling morning golf buddy. That is until she gets bored after 3 holes and wants my phone. Elliott is the reason my hair no longer grows forward. Sweetest kid on the planet who currently believes he is an actual Ninja Turtle.
Occupation: I’m a Network Specialist for a telecommications company out of Madison, WI. I’m not sure what I actually do besides sit at a desk and make things secure I guess? Network switches, buildings, applications. Been there 21 years in July. Mostly work from home now which is nice. My company is currently trying to expand and turn up fiber service in Montana. I hope this affords me time to visit @Muchmore some day and his moosen.
Location: Mineral Point, WI. City with a population of about 2,500. About 45 minutes West of Madison WI and 45 minutes NE of Dubuque IA. Our most famous resident is Alan Ludden who was Betty White’s husband and former game show host (Password). Grew up 15 minutes from here in a small Village of Cobb WI. Most notable things from Cobb is the constant smell of pig sh#t and Wisconsin Badgers head basketball coach Greg Gard. Hopefully former basketball coach after yesterday. Guy was my neighbor growing up, but still that game was embarrassing.
Favorite Band: Local H. Seen them live about 50 times. I grew up in the damn 90s. So all that music is still in my blood. My musical tastes would be best described as anything that @xThor won’t listen to.
Favorite Movie: The Big Lebowski
Notable Things: Volunteer Firefighter with the MPFD for about 8 years (13 years total with another local department). I bring it up a lot I guess, but I’m proud of it. Brought me a lot of lifelong friendships, much like THP.
More Notable Things: Share a birthday with Taylor Swift and Rickie Fowler. I also know more Taylor Swift songs by heart than I ever wanted to thanks to my 6 year old.
Favorite Taylor Swift Song That Also Describes THP: Look What You Made Me Do
How Long You Been Here at THP: Since 2010
THP Events: 2016 Cleveland/Srixon Short Game Shootout and 2021 Grandaddy
Favorite THP Memory: Watching @xThor almost spear Jason Finley in a push cart race at ECPC was pretty good. Also playing some sort of terrible golf but having the time of my life with JRod and Lexi at the Hideaway. That memory never fades and hopefully never will.
Least Favorite THPer: @Muchmore
Favorite THPer: @Muchmore
Worst Influence on my Wallet at THP: @Golfers Anonymous Close second @xThor
Near Death Experience: Riding in a vehicle driven by @RealPretendPsychic and all he was doing was trying to do is get in and out of a McDonalds parking lot in Myrtle Beach.
Near Death Experience #2: Also Myrtle Beach as lightning hit a tree not far from us and almost expired @Muchmore @xThor @RealPretendPsychic and myself at Caledonia. Beautiful course, just wish we could played all of it.
Favorite Thing About THP: The people here man. The community. The people that run the show. The lifelong friends I’ve made all over the United States. All the cool shit I’ve been a part of is great and so appreciated but all you really make this place special. When I’m having a bad day I can always come to THP and find a reason to smile. I can also tag @Muchmore for no reason whatsoever.
What Im Most Looking Forward To for Shaft Up: Meeting @jayronmillz10 in person. Spending some one on one time with @DannyLe and @JB. Picking their brains, asking dumb questions and getting to play another course I have no business stepping foot on. Also I’m curious if Danny has ever fixed someone with a swing this bad.
All right that’s it. I’ve bored you all enough. Hope this was somewhat useful. I never should’ve started this countdown thing. This is exhausting ?. How can anyone drink this much Fresca in consecutive days? I need a nap.
