43%. That is the amount of the price hike that ESPN+ will getting next month. The sports giant will rise from $6.99 per month or $70 a year to $9.99 or $100 a year. Outrageous? Perhaps on the surface, but diving in more might say that they were underpriced for golf fans.
Before 2022, PGA Tour Live was a service that offered extended coverage of events. The migration to ESPN+ included far more golf than was offered by NBC previously in either their stand alone app or the NBC Sports streaming outlet. With ESPN+ providing over 4,000 hours for fans to catch both exclusive and concurrently running live feeds.
The price change does not impact the price of the Disney Bundle, the company said. ESPN says ESPN+’s new higher price points still compare favorably to other sports streaming services like DAZN or Bally Sports+, which are currently right around $20 each.
Are you an ESPN+ Subscriber? Does this price hike make you consider changing or leaving the service?

i have a love hate relationship with streaming but the increase still seems worth it. I will say that it seems like we have come full circle when it comes to pricing for streaming in general. For me to watch everything I want to watch we basically pay the same price as cable. The only difference is there are some things I can’t watch on cable

Yeah if you want everything. Still much better IMO. We are no where near what we would be paying for cable and I feel getting more relevant content for us.

I wonder if the increase is also a ploy to get more bundle subscribers.
I was on the original Deal with Disney+ and one price for a three-year subscription was 169 total. That is coming up and I added the bundle.

Im not sure. Maybe a small part. ESPN has added a lot more costs, whereas Disney + has not.
That would be a hard no without the bundle. I have the bundle and watch Disney+ stuff occasionally. Just last night I watched The Rookie baseball movie with my wife. I probably use ESPN+ more than Disney+ but not enough to pay $10/month on top of my cable bill. I have other streaming services I can turn to for entertainment.
I watch Disney+ a good deal more then anything else, but with getting Hulu recently I have noticed they have some decent programming.
ESPN+ is really lacking for me except to watch golf.
Apparently I get it free through my cell phone account. Probably would have been handy last week.
I’m on Disney bundle and will stay there. We like the Star Wars, Pixar and Marvel stuff, as well as NatGeo. Throw in Hulu and ESPN+ and it’s a good deal.
I get it with the Disney bundle, I like ESPN+ not just for golf but I also get Handball!
I’ve got it through the Disney bundle, so its a little more palatable, but I’m really thinking it might be time to start paring down some of these subscriptions we have.
Currently have the Disney bundle comped through Verizon, but not sure how long that’ll last or if other prices go up
I’ve got the bundle..so it doesn’t affect me, but we’ve been taking a long look at our streaming services lately and talked about this one going. But likely with the kids being young we’ll be keep Disney + regardless for awhile so it just makes sense to bundle some stuff that dad likes.
Time to bundle up.
