Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show and this is episode 167. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, Josh Talge and Marni Ines from Titleist join the show and the discussion centers around their new 2023 T-Series irons.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan, Josh Talge and Marni Ines talk about iron development with tour support and take a deep dive into the tech. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as the new Titleist T-Series irons go Off Course.
Episode 168 is here and Dan and Josh and Marni discuss the following topics.
Iron Development with Tour Support
Dual Tungsten, 3D and Max Impact Technology
Refining the Face
Blended Sets
Fitting is Critical
And so much more

Tuning in now
That was a great episode. Great to hear from Marne about the technical and design aspects. Love that they draw from the vokey team as well. Very interesting that shafts typically don’t change.
YES! Excited!
Love the tour validation talk at the beginning..

The Vokey story just makes SO much sense.

thanks for tuning in!
This is a really good tech conversation and the talk about materials is solid.
Definitely eye opening into the process. Very cool.
Great show. Between podcast and release article from James I’m looking forward to trying out the new line up. Favorite line from show was if you need a hybrid make better long irons. I’m thinking U505 at 3 and maybe 4. 200s for 5-8 and then 150s maybe to complete set. Course is having a fitting day Saturday. See what happens
The tech talk was so solid on this one. Even as a “hybrid guy” I’ll echo above that the comment of make a better iron was great.
I also love the commitment to fitting in the longer irons. I really hope this is a trend that catches on.
Great podcast, are these audio only or are they on YouTube also, thanks! O….H
The comment about new iterations coming from “real golfer incite” rings true. Try, test, try, test. The results are easy to see as well as the attention to detail; I am don’t care about top line if the clubs work, but blending a 350 with a 100 line is not a big jump visually. Its impressive.
The move from the T100s to the T150 was the best part of all this in my mind. Commentary about the sound of the older club versions and how it lead to the added Tungsten is fascinating.
Having just went through a fitting, this was the most comprehensive fitting. Not hitting only a single iron to be fit made me feel much better that the iron set will work the best for me. The tech is there, but it shows that this line is really meant to help all abilities across the iron set.
