Here in the Northeast and other locations worldwide, it has quickly become the season where going out for rounds means the automatic wardrobe selection is no longer just a pair of shorts and a polo. Instead, Mother Nature plays a much more significant role in what gets brought to the course as the wet and cold weather rolls in because being caught off-guard can make for one miserable round of golf. Over the past several years, Puma Golf has gained quite a reputation for producing impressive apparel collections, and today, they are introducing one that is ready to battle the elements while still being stylish, known simply as Made for This.
“Puma Golf is fully committed to the layering and performance technology category,” said Juston Tucker, Head of Product Design, PUMA Golf. “We’ve put together a technology-driven collection with style. We call it, Made for This because regardless of wind, rain, dry or cold conditions, well… we made it for this.”
Puma Golf’s Made for This collection provides a wide range of options for both men and women who love playing golf in all seasons. As a whole, this collection includes both WRMLBL and DRYLBL families. It offers a variety of layering pieces, ensuring players are fully prepared for any weather conditions they may face on the course.
Puma’s DRYLBL line presents itself as a perfect solution for golfers looking to combat the windy and rainy weather. The Made for This collection comprises waterproof and windproof pants and jackets with fully seam-sealed and stretch fabrics. DRYLBL is a premium line that heavily features Sympatex material, providing first-rate durability and 100% windproof and waterproof performance to combat harsh weather conditions. With this material, golfers should stay as dry and comfortable as possible when braving the rain.
For those who prefer to avoid the rain but can take on cooler temps, Puma’s WRMLBL will be the apple of your eye. WRMLBL has an extensive lineup that includes vests, jackets, fleece, cashmere sweaters, hoodies, quarter zips, and more designed to keep players comfortable on the course. Better yet, every piece is designed to help golfers maintain their full range of motion, which tends to become a battle when layering up for the elements.
“You came to play, not worry about the weather. We all share a passion for the game that inspires us to practice and play year-round,” said Mike Diaz, Marketing Director, PUMA Golf. “PUMA Golf can fully outfit all types of players in any weather condition, with premium apparel that looks, fits, and performs exceptionally well.”
Are you a golfer that is prepared for weather? Puma’s Made for This collection is available today at www.cobragolf.com/pumagolf.
That vest looks really sharp
I am definitely going to be jumping at a few of these pieces.
After traveling and having to play in some pretty crazy elements, I know being prepared is important.
Will definitely be checking out this collection. Puma is one of my go to apparel companies.
Looking forward to checking out these collections. Stiff sounds do good. Coming from Cobra Puma it’s bound to be good.
This stuff looks great. Now just to try and find a place to try it on.
Liking this. I will be interested in hearing more about this collection.
These could definitely be put to good use here in the northeast.
Good looking stuff. Tis the season.
Just when I thought I was through shopping, they pull me back in.
Looks like DRYLBL Jacket is $200 and Pants are $180……..pondering!
I love that it’s more than just the shorts / polo – as in there seems to be some good thought put into non optimal weather situations. (Or as the rest of us call it, fall)
Love the Peacoat and Red DRYLBL Can’t seem to find it anywhere or otherwise it would be bought.
Need to expand my wardrobe so I can expand my golfing comfort as the temps drop. Some great looking pieces here!
He looks so good I just need to play in places with the cooler weather.
I will own some of this. WILL.
Ya know. I’ve never owned a quality golf vest. I should dive in and give one a chance. This looks really, really nice.
The vest looks like it would be a solid addition to my closet! Great for a chillier day when you don’t want something long sleeved!
Getting to be that time of year, and this stuff looks great, love the quilting
Current forecast says yes, but why is the one I like blue? ?
Don’t need cold gear, but I do need new rain pants…
The Scotia Quilted jacket looks nice. I’m a baby when it comes to cold weather being spoiled here in So Cal. This one is on the radar for our really cold (below 60) mornings.
I have pair of the prior generation PUMA waterproof rain pants and they are great!!!
I’m a vest guy, and I like the looks of that one in this collection.
I do need to break down and buy some rain gear soon. Will have to take a look at this.
Might have to pick up some of this before next spring
I’ll be taking a closer look at a couple of these pieces
Just ordered a coat, rain jacket, and rain pants. My current rain gear is ok but is very loose on me so I wanted to try out the sizing on this stuff to see if I like it. It has been years since I bought a coat so wanted to try something new out.

Just got my shipment in and I am liking what I am seeing so far. I ordered L and XL just to try the sizing out. I wear a L in Puma polos and the Quilted Jacket I like the way L fits on me. I need to try out the rain jacket with a 1/4 zip on as well to see how it fits.
The large rain jacket fits over the large quilted jacket easily and I am easily able to swing. They work well with each other. I did not get the packable rain jacket as there are 2 different types. The packable had a hood and I did not want the hood.
I wish I could find somewhere to try some of this stuff on. It looks great but I am kind of a tweener between L and XL for some things. Trying on makes a big difference.

If there are any other details that folks want to know about the rain gear or quilted jacket let me know soon as I was just told that they will be wrapped up as my christmas presents this year. lol I played in 100 degree weather so I don’t think I will need them for awhile anyway. :ROFLMAO:
I really like that vest.

Got this jacket out on the course today. So good. It was a lot warmer than I thought it would be. It was nice. No issues with my swing at all. Such a good jacket.

Did it feel like it wanted to pull above your waist every swing or did it stay put quite well?

I never adjusted it while on the course so it stayed put.
Some other observations.
1. Walking with both hands in my pockets and a remote control on the push cart was awesome. Way better than a quarter zip to keep my hands warm. It started right around 50 degrees and warmed up. By hole 12 I was in my normal shorts and polo so it wasn’t an arctic scenario. lol
2. The only annoying thing that took a few holes to become second nature. When putting my left hand into the pocket I kept my glove on. The velcro flap kept getting stuck so I had to remember to turn my hand over to not have the flap be an issue. Very small annoyance.

I was curious what kind of temps you were dealing with.
First round with rain gear yesterday and one quick observation. The rain pants didn’t have access to my shorts underneath the rain pants. I was in a rush to put them on, which was easy BTW, and left things in my inside pockets. I had to then pull down rain pants to empty pockets to put in rain pants pockets. Once that was done the rain pants were great. Only really rained for like 2 holes so didn’t fully test them out but I liked them while I had them on.

Seems odd that there wouldn’t be the pass through, but I guess now that you know it’s a simple solution.

Yeah hopefully I won’t need the gear for another year and I forget again. Lol
