Off Course is back this week with a fantastic show and this is episode 173. Hosted by Dan Edwards, each Friday he gives you a deep look into the world of golf and equipment in a way unlike any other podcast has done before. Today, Chris Voshall from Mizuno Golf joins the show and if you like golf equipment and deep dives into design, this is the show for you.
It wouldn’t be Off Course without some tangents, but Dan and Chris talk about the new Mizuno T24 wedges and jump into design. This show has a lot going on and is one you will not want to miss as Chris Voshall goes Off Course.
Episode 173 is here and Dan and Chris discuss the following topics.
Mizuno T24 Wedges
Angled Corners and Top Lines
Mizuno OMOI Putter Line Grows
Vibration in Iron Design
And so much more

I didn’t realize that the version of what I presume to be Vockey wedges played by Tour pros is, in some instances, smaller than the retail version that we play.

Man I love listening to Vosh explain why I’ve never liked super thin top lines.

hahahaha, he was talking through your soul, wasn’t he.
Can’t wait to queue this up after dinner tonight, Vosh is always a good listen!
Listened to this one on my way up to Troy Burne yesterday – there’s something about a conversation with @Canadan and @Vosh68 that is so clean and easy to listen to and understand. To spend a few hours listening to him would go by so fast due to the way he talks.
I can’t wait for the next one in November.

Thank you for always listening my dude!!
Late to the party catching up on other podcasts but everything about this episode was ???
I was able to listen to this episode this morning, and the amount of information packed into it is unreal. I learned more about the club manufacturing process in a hour than I can comprehend. It is an excellent [S]read[/S] listen. It really changes the way I look at wedge design specifically, and what Vosh said made a ton of sense. This episode is definitely worth your time.

An excellent read? Is there a transcript somewhere I’m not aware of? :ROFLMAO:

Its excellent, and definitely formed some questions I may have if given the opportunity at the Morgan Cup.

I had to rewind a few times, and wanted to more, to understand the words Vosh was sharing. A transcript for those would have been helpful haha

I tried to have ChatGPT transcribe it. It said no. But apparently other AIs will do it.
I may do it and have it printed like its a newspaper at this point. Read it right after I finish the funnies.
This was a great show. The grain flow forged technique they use is very interesting. Also forged is not always forged and how that now relates to golf clubs was enlightening. Like the talk about the wedges, pros, and low spinning drivers.
Did I hear low spin in the new woods? Need to knock another 500rpms off. Maybe the new lineup might help?
I really enjoyed this episode! What a great conversation about gear. Easy listening and invigorating haha.
That part about vibrations and the downside of injecting foam into an iron was awesome. So clear and makes perfect sense.
