Wow. That episode just kept on giving! I had to go back and make notes so I could remember it all! A few quick takeaways:
1. Project X Experience. REALLY looking forward to the blind shaft testing! That’s going to be a fun time for us following along at home, so I can only imagine how crazy it’s going to feel for THP’ers swinging clubs! @Canadan vs. @JB is going to be intense!
2. Irons talk. Hearing that King Tour is more forgiving than SpeedZone blew my mind! And then the discussion on the Paradym line… I need to try them. I saw a set in the wild for the first time recently and they look very, very good!
3. Grandaddy. Makes sense that this was JB’s top experience because of THP. It’s a truly special collaboration! But I can also see why the Morgan Cup would be a top contender. Taking part in that last year was unbelievable. Go Hackers!
4. Off Course. Definitely giving this a listen tomorrow!
Great Listen! and now….. I want new irons, damnit.
The iron talk still blows my mind.

My favorite thing is how easy it is for people to see if changes matter. With that said I do struggle with a lot of the youtube “entertainment” and what it has brought to the golfer which is poorly worded info at best and flat out misinformation at worst

As you have said, golfers aren’t the best with change. Or admitting they were wrong.
It’s not just irons. At 41 and not in the shape I once was, I should be losing distance with my driver compared to 10+ years ago but that’s not the case.
Group chats are a plague haha

I genuinely think they have a place to get to know your team. When they supplant the reason you are able to do these things that is my struggle. It isn’t changing though and more pop up with every get together.
If people embrace both and realize that the events, forum testing, etc go away and are good with that, I am too.

I also called people ******* idiots.
I have regrets haha

See what happens when you bail out???
I missed the first 10-15 mins of this one today and will go back and definitely listen.
If you are a fan of THP and this place is more than just a hang out you will greatly appreciate the discussion b @JB on various topics. If you sign up to review gear or are part of an experience where gear is a part of it…please review it in its entirety! The reach of these reviewsgo beyond THP!
That recipe @GolferGalsounds like a hit!

I was there my friend and know I’m an idiot at times…?
Travel dining vs local:
JB stopping to get some gas station sushi. Probably not the best choice.
I did think it funny when you mentioned you make poor choices, but delicious choices.
I do the same everytime hitting up a local place. Usually eyes bigger than more stomach, and choices that definitely aren’t leaving me in a good spot about 2-3 hours later lol.

Depends on the place.
I mean maybe not sushi, but Buc-ees, Wawa and a few others have solid food options.

They do, and they could.
My vote is that all group chats should die when more than one negative thing is said. Boom, solved.
something came up and didn’t get to listen/watch live, but I watched the recording. enjoyed the episode and discussion.

I definitely think they can get out of hand and distract from the purpose of the event. That’s shouldn’t be allowed at all. To me, the purpose of the events is engaging THPers, bringing them along with you and really reviewing the heck out of whatever you are fortunate enough to get and get to go.

After that explanation of the shaft boot camp, I am even more pumped to follow the Project X exp thread.
I’m one of those people who always say I want to understand more about shafts but it seems like such a daunting subject to dive into. This is going to be great.
Great episode today. Hate that I missed it live, but glad I caught up 🙂
I can speak to the new Titleist T150s being very forgiving. That is one of the first things I said to my fitter is when I hit some bad shots was I am surprised how well that did for this iron and he went into all the tech packed into that small head. While I was not fit into the T150s the T200s and T350s we also even more forgiving, can’t wait to play these irons.

It’s so good, it’s great comfort food, but made a little healthier and reheats really well.
Cool to hear the t150 are as forgiving as the ap1. I played t100s well so have high hopes.
@JB, I enjoyed the podcast. Now I understand the source of the post in the Cobra irons thread stating that the King Tour irons are more forgiving than last year’s game improvement irons (although in the podcast, you stated that King Tours are more forgiving than SpeedZone irons, which were the 2020 release, not last year’s release). It bends my mind to think about that. Basically, you are saying that if you take your basic bogey golfer and hand him a set of SpeedZone irons, his proximity to the hole will be no better than if he is playing a set of King Tours. That is a LOT of advancement in a short period of time.

In a general sense yes. Although proximity to the hole is not necessarily how I would view it, since more is at play there than just iron forgiveness. My thoughts are a bit more hard coded than that, which I tried to explain on the show around the data of speed and spin consistency as well as a few others such as launch angle consistency.
Catching up from travel yesterday. This is starting out fantastic.

Late listen… all the iron talk really makes me want a new set of irons now, but i’m also trying to hold out until spring when all these cryptic yet-to-be-released magic irons get released. :ROFLMAO:

Clearly the correct answer is to buy new irons now AND later!
Ok, so I’ve finally found time to watch this. When JB and GG were talking about swing coaches, did anyone else notice that JB said “When in doubt, blame @Canadan .”
GG’s response was “When in doubt, always blame them.” Or maybe I heard it wrong

Anyway, great show. You’re the worst!
This T shirt will debut on next weeks show.
A little of home.

Listened to the show yesterday and finished the last bit this morning.
When we were out we were actually talking about one of those people in the end who just up and disappeared but in our case he apparently blocked all of us. It really is a shame.

That’s amazing. An official Jumbo Shrimp design or just a local designer playing off of the shrimp/Jags combo?
I was able to listen to this episode this morning, and the amount of information packed into it is unreal. I learned more about the club manufacturing process in a hour than I can comprehend. It is an excellent read. It really changes the way I look at wedge design specifically, and what Vosh said made a ton of sense. This episode is definitely worth your time.

Caught on the podcast yesterday and this would be hilarious. Sad though about the group chats though. Didn’t know it was such a problem.
