The shaft that likely will be most similar I believe is the Diamana TB.
Thank you. Unfortunately I didn’t do a fitting and only hit that shaft and a Tensei 1K Pro Black in a 3 wood. The Tensei was softer and felt smooth, but I dont get along with faiirway woods much and almost every swing was super low on the face. Still 100 mph head speed, but low.
Driver was 106 mph swing speed.
Many of the Graphite Design shafts are similar and have a bend profile like the Diamana Blue Board. The Diamana TB is the 5th generation of that profile. It is a very smooth feeling shaft.
The Tensei 1K Pro Blue Pro is a variation of that same profile as well but probably a bit more stout.
The Tensei 1K Pro Black is a low launch low spin shaft more similar to the Diamana WB or Whiteboard profile.
At 106 MPH you are right at the border between Stiff and X-Stiff. The nature of your backswing transition would probably be the deciding factor on which flex would be best.

@JB,
I went to the local Golf Galaxy and got on the launch monitor. It was very enlightening. In the end, the guy didn’t try to sell me a $1000 driver, but told me I would be better off with a newer Callaway head (his opinion is that my 2019 Epic Flash SZ is better for lower handicap players than me) like a Rouge ST Max LS (which I happen to have on the way to me now) and a better shaft like a Graphite Design Tour AD-6 in stiff flex, which is more of an X flex than S because of the tip section being so stiff.
I also was hitting draws every time, even when I pushed the shot to the right, since my head path and face were open and I have a very late and hard release to try to save it.
I went back into the shaft fitting tool and changed some inputs and instead of the original recommendation of:

The new recommendations are:

Looking at the Graphite Design Tour AD shaft info, it is a medium butt, medium mid and stiff tip design that is high launch with low spin.
I am confused as to what shaft I should get now! Any ideas or recommendations on who I should chat with?

Let me get to tomorrow evening and I’ll circle back on this, i can help, happily.

@Jman and @Browndog droping some serious shaft knowledge in here. You guys are both getting me even more excited to learn more from the team at Mitsubishi.
Shafts have something I’ve been I guess a little timid to learn more about. It can be intimidating when you see all the profiles, torque, materials, etc.
Shafts seem like they should be simple things but we all know it is anything but that. Most people take whatever they can get and deal with it. I also am seriously looking forward to the knowledge I will gain from the experience!

My transition is pretty smooth, especially since I started working on slowing down my transition from backswing to downswing. I do get quick sometimes and I know it as soon as I do it and correct it on the next swing.
So did anyone in the group go with the WB?

Nice! I hoped so! Since I’ve got these two in for homepage review articles, I actually went with the new Tensei Red in 70X ?
I went with the Diamana TB 70S since it seemed to suit my needs best.
Oh, and this might interest you all…

That’s a damn good looking shaft! I think it will suit you well
Got to chat with Mitsubishi today as they are building your stuff in tour department and we went over itinerary.
Super excited.
Also, if you have not followed an event live update thread this year, I cannot urge you enough to do so to see what is expected and what it’s like.
Get involved. So people have a reason to be involved. I mean we have shaft threads, course breakdowns and live updates every single week

I have been looking at some of the Ballyhack hole breakdowns and I am pumped for this.
I also got a new driver head, since why would I want to use the old drive with a new shaft? I am looking forward to having a more stable shaft in there than my old Grafalloy Prototype NT (that I have had for YEARS).
I admit, I have not been on many of the live update threads as I have a hard time with work and when not working, playing.

You have three back to back to back coming up over the next two weeks including multiple at Ballyhack that you can tune into.

For sure I will make some time!
I cannot urge some of you enough to get involved with the live update threads that are at this course.
One going on now and two going on next week.
If this is just a show up and play, you are going to miss out.

I have read every single post so far and it really is fun. It has detracted from my work productivity, but then again, today is a slow day at work, so it worked out.
It is really making me appreciate being allowed to be in this experience and making me really excited (maybe even nervous) for it!
Formats and pairngs will be announced in about a week.
I cannot urge each of you enough to get involved in a live update thread next week. We have back to back events and many have not been in an event in a long time or this is your first time. Ballyhack events are unlike anything you have done in the past.

Looking forward to the pairings and formats. Can’t wait to get out to Ballyhack.
One thing I know for sure is my score predictions on the hole breakdowns from @Daluteh are looking bad ?
You’ve got this! Gotta have faith.
I had a little too much faith. I think I set the over under at +6 with the predictions??????
That’s probably a little generous – but the internet shots lower your score so that’s okay!
If I even sniff single digits I would be absolutely thrilled. On the other hand, if you didn’t think you could do it well, you’re just setting yourself up for failure.
I need to be playing more, hahahahaha
I can’t wait to hear about the pairings and formats, any sort of competition out at Ballyhack is always a wild ride.
I am pumped to play and hope I can contain the blow-up holes. It really depends which golfer shows up as I have my up and down days. I have been playing a decent amount and am constantly thriving to play better and my handicap is down from last season and especially winter.
Sorry, fellas. Been slammed with work and a conference. But I’m excited as hell. Not just for the event but for the whole trip because we have a ton in store for everyone that will be getting posted!!
Had 4 great rounds in a row but today…horrible. That’s golf!!!
