In the last experience that just happened, we had someone fit to an X flex who never thought it would be an option, and a fast swinger fit to a ladies flex designated shaft (even though it’s a proto) carrying the ball over 300 yards. I know that was an onsite fitting, but don’t already discount what might be suggested! You may be surprised!

UPDATE TIME!
Participants you will be getting a brand new driver shaft and a brand new putter shaft upon arrival at the event.
Lets talk putter shaft first.
This will be their new Diamana Putter Shaft. It will be raw, but upon returning home post event, you will be able to get it installed as well as review it on the THP Forum.
Driver Shaft – This is some fun. You can choose any shaft they offer. The way this will work is simple and we are going to start a thread on it coming up today for you to participate in as well. First up, you will go here.
https://mitsubishigolf.com/pages/shaft-fit-tool
Go through their online fit and it will spit out a few shafts. You get to pick which one of the things spit out you want. Weight, flex, length, what driver adapter you have so it can be played at Ballyhack and what grip you would like.
You will then send a PM to @GolferGal with this info.
Forum Name
Driver Shaft Choice
What Driver it is going in
Playing Length
Grip of Choice
We will be getting these all together and building them up and bringing them to Ballyhack for our first night’s dinner along with some other goodies and of course the putter shaft.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.
And also have some fun in this thread.

I have a question that I always bounce back and forth on in the fitting tool.
I live right on the edge of the 105-106 swing speed line. I tend to start about 108 and then slow a little through the round. Which way would you say to input based on this?
Personally it would depend on the miss. If its left (RH golfer) I would go the lower side, if its right I would go the other way. But this is very general. I tend to view fitting less inside a data bubble than most however.

Thanks. Will do that tomorrow morning. Working a 12 hour day today mowing because tomorrow morning is going to be a washout here.
As the round goes on, the miss becomes more push fade. I’m definitely more out to in as I go through the round trying to put “put more into it.” I think that’s why I’ve liked leaning into a little lighter shaft lately. Reminds me at the beginning to let the shaft work because I don’t have to as much.
Interesting. Okay, that probably nails it down for you. Something slightly lighter that still offers the stability to go after it when you want to.
Also I’m loving the Ballyhack hole previews leading up to this event. Not only do we get Mitsubishi hotness but we also get to play it at Ballyhack!!!

I think I’ve narrowed it down to two choices. Decision to be narrowed down after work. Any thoughts or input also appreciated.
Diamana WB 53 S – little bit lighter but nice and firm throughout so I can go after it as needed.
Diamana GT 50 S – just about the same weight and torque as the wb which fits what works for me. Little less firm through the middle and tip. Little more launch which I could always use.
Tough call. With miss being right, I would naturally say go with the one with that is firmer in mid and tip, but both of these could work well for that.
Its a fun choice and a year of the return of Diamana, which is awesome.

I have been traveling to the West Coast and have been busy with friends, family and work visits so logging on here has not been happening.
I get home next Monday. I really want to get out to somewhere with a launch monitor to see what my swing speed is now (as I know it has changed) before making my decision. I am super excited for this and the putter shaft will be super interesting as well!
Going to ponder it a little longer, but after communicating with JB this morning, I am strongly leaning Diamana GT 50 in SR flex.

Diamana WB, Tensei White and Tensei Orange. Thought it was a little odd because I answered that I had a mid ball flight and was good with it. Swing speed somewhere around low 90s.
I am still playing the TZ SIX 50 in M3 flex and have enjoyed the feel and performance of it. Have the Stealth Plus+ lofted up a tick to 9.75 with that shaft.

Don’t get hung up on the “low” classification of the ones it spit out for you. Take the White for example, yes, its a higher kick point shaft but it has a medium tip, so with the way the recommendations work, it believes that you will be able to stay in that mid window you stated based on the overall profile at the flex. The thing when it comes to golf shafts is so much focus is on that low-low, mid-low, mid-mid or whatever classification because its easiest to look at, but a closer look is always best.
Now, all that said, IME, the Tensei’s are going to play more “there” or stable than what you are used to, much more, where the Diamana is going to be more similar to the feel of the TZ Six you currently have (emphasis on similar, not same). SO, of those three shafts, I would lean WB 53 in R or SR. BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, I think I would consider actually going outside that and really think you would enjoy the GT in SR or R.
The knowledge on here is unmatched…
On a personal level, I am slow playing mine JUUUUUUST a bit, waiting on a couple of things to fall into place so I have a clear picture of what I’m going to go with.
I do know, historically, Tensei and I haven’t gotten along all that well, so that limits that path. Coming from the LINQ Red I have now, the Tensei Red IS on the table though. Also considering going really light in the WB…

Thank you for sharing your wealth of knowledge once again!
The GT 50 in SR is my leader in the clubhouse right now.
In regards to the Tensei shafts, I have tried an older version of the Blue in driver and FW and wasn’t over the moon about the feel or what I got out of them. I did, however, like the Red (regular flex tipped 1″) that I played in a TEE driver a few years back.
Will the Diamana putter shaft be the 108 or 138 gram version?
I have always played a heavy shaft in my driver and like a heavy swing weight as well. I really want to get into a launch monitor and try a few shaft combo’s before I make a decision but I won’t be home until Monday night.

So, the deal with the putter shaft is they have to be installed into inner-hosel putters, not over-hosel. For example, something like a CH/plumber has an inner hosel design.

Sounds like I may have to find a new, inexpensive putter to put the shaft in. All I have is two Odyssey mallets with short slants and 3 SeeMore blades.
Lots of talk in here about that WB 53, I bet one could get used to it but every time I try to go lighter bad bad things happen.

I went to a 50 gram weight class driver shaft about 3 or 4 years ago. I definitely had to exercise some patience when getting used to it.
Hmm, that changes what I was thinking (I am pretty sure).
I like the looks of the Odessey Eleven Tour Lined DB which has a double offset so I am figuring it would not work:

Really, it’s going to have to be a plumber/crank or a center shaft

Hmm…Center Shaft will work you say? I may just leave my 7 CH as is and buy a new putter. As if I really needed an excuse

The new Edel Array putter line is very customizable with interchangeable hosels including a couple that would work with a Diamana putter shaft, and interchangeable aiming/alignment plates, weights.
Several models to choose from too.
Just saying.

When they released those, I checked them out as well and the slant would work with the Mitsubishi shaft (I am almost positive).
Not certain, but I believe @Jman indicated that Diamana putter shafts would only work with a hosel like a plumbers neck where the shaft inserts into the hosel. The slant neck, I don’t believe will work with the Diamana shafts, but the short and long plumbers neck would.

Correct. Has to be an inner hosel, not an over hosel
@JB,
I went to the local Golf Galaxy and got on the launch monitor. It was very enlightening. In the end, the guy didn’t try to sell me a $1000 driver, but told me I would be better off with a newer Callaway head (his opinion is that my 2019 Epic Flash SZ is better for lower handicap players than me) like a Rouge ST Max LS (which I happen to have on the way to me now) and a better shaft like a Graphite Design Tour AD-6 in stiff flex, which is more of an X flex than S because of the tip section being so stiff.
I also was hitting draws every time, even when I pushed the shot to the right, since my head path and face were open and I have a very late and hard release to try to save it.
I went back into the shaft fitting tool and changed some inputs and instead of the original recommendation of:

The new recommendations are:

Looking at the Graphite Design Tour AD shaft info, it is a medium butt, medium mid and stiff tip design that is high launch with low spin.
I am confused as to what shaft I should get now! Any ideas or recommendations on who I should chat with?
Which Graphite Design Tour AD shaft did they recommend? Was it the orange colored Tour AD DI 6S?

It was the orange AD 6-S, pre AD DI.
The shaft that likely will be most similar I believe is the Diamana TB.
