At THP, we believe that testing should be done not only by us, but also by the golfers just like you. One of the cool features about being an active member of the THP Forum is that we look to you guys/gals, the consumers, to give feedback on equipment to golfers all around the world. Each month we send out iron sets, drivers, hybrids, putters, trainings aids and golf balls to our active members to be a part of the THP Forum Member testing. Who wants to test the brand new Edison 2.0 Wedges?
Edison 2.0 Wedges

You must be able to check in on the forum thread daily (or close to it) to discuss and answer questions.
You will be reviewing the Edison 2.0 Wedges for 90 days and then it is yours to keep.

What stands out to me is the drive to create a club focused on the everyday golf and not solely tour driven and available to us normal folk.
What wedges do you currently have in the bag?
Edison 1.0 – 49*, 53*, 57*
What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2)
53* and 57*
What features from the article linked above stand out?
The new finish, Pearl Chrome ?. More weight movement, I really appreciate the higher mass in the 1.0’s. Intrigued to hear what changes have been done to the sole.
I can’t wait to follow along in the review thread!
Tour Edge Ironwoods. 48-52-56-60
The 52 and 56 lifts would be my first choice.
I like the sole design and the weighting aspects of this club.
I’m finally back playing again. These wedges would peak my interests.
Good luck to all. Would love to try, but I don’t think they make LH wedges yet.
I have wanted to try these wedges. Good luck to all entrants. Here are my answers:

playability without sacrificing shotmaking
Always love a THP club test. I’m really interested in filling in gaps with wedges this year. I do enjoy my T 22s but there are some deficiencies in the gapping. First I’d go 46° to slip in as a gap wedge. Then the grind on my 58° is not a good fit for me so I’d replace that wedge.
1. Mizuno T22 – 50°, 54°, 58°
2. 46° , 58°
3. Sole design is very intriguing to me being as I play in the Ohio muck a good part of the year

Forum testing is less about luck generally speaking.
We select those that are active or are getting active in the equipment and golf conversations to test and review equipment.
There is a responsibility involved of course, like our THP Experiences.
Our contests are all random draw.

@JB after thinking it through, please remove me from the testing of Edison wedges request. This is really my first year back, as I consider last year my re-acquainting myself with my swing year after a long lay-off! Although I was very happy in my progress, I’m not sure that I’d be a good enough judge/test subject to convey “results” to the THP team!
At some point, I’ll feel more confident in my ability to get the most out of my swing, to the point where I can let the others know where certain clubs/balls can offer benefits, but for now, I’ll kindly step aside to let others share their expertise!
Thanks to Edison and THP for the opportunity for us to get some real world knowledge on golf equipment!

Oh, to the others, it’s driving me nuts that they are asking for even lofted wedges when the article clearly states odd lofts only…
???
To those still wanting to test the Edison Wedges, they only come in odd lofts, 45, 47, 49, 51, 53, 55, 57 and 59.
No even lofts…just helping out! ?
1. Titliest Vokey SM8 (58, 54, 50)
2. 59 and 55
3. The Koehler soles.
I look forward to seeing the reviews! I’ve got too much going on with my swing right now to be testing new wedges… but these do interest me.
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag?
Ping tour-w 52, 56, 60, Mizuno MP-T5 54
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test. 54, 56
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? Currently in the market for new wedges, and only just recently became all in on improving my game. I’ve only owned these second hand wedges and would like to know and experience what else is out there.
1. Taylormade HiToe’s
2. 51 and 57, gives me good gapping, so I can sneak an extra club in the bag
3. The Koehler soled seems like a stand out feature to me, always need more forgiveess
Having fun with mine!!! My first time at the range in months…

these look great! I’ll defer my entry as I should have other wedges in hand soon
Good luck everyone!
I’d love to test the new Edison 2.0 wedges, thanks for another great opportunity. I like that they offer odd number lofts, but you can order even lofts and ” your wedges will be tweaked 1-degree weaker (i.e. 58 will have 57 on the sole, etc)”
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag? Cleveland CBX2
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2)? 49*(tweaked to50*) and 55*
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? The weight placement that provides more forgiveness and better distance control.
The first ones got such rave reviews, that I’d be happy to test the 2.0.
1. Set LTDx PW (41,5*), GW (47,5*) and SW (54), SM6 (56*), Snakebite (58*)
2. 52* & 57* based on Edison WedgeFit
3. The position of weight in the blade compared to “traditional” wedge design, which should help my amateur game.
Thanks for the opportunity!
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag? Cleveland CBX2 46º, CBX 50º, CBX2 56º
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test 51º and 55º
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? The Koehler Sole and the ultra high CG sound like something that can really help amateur golfers like me.
Good Luck to all those that enter….
Awesome testing opportunity, thanks THP & Edison.
1. Current wedges in the bag are Sub70 286 Forged & JB Forged
2. Lofts I’d like to try if selected would be the 53* & 57* to see them side by side my 54* & 58*.
3. Feature that I’m interested in is why the move to am odd numbered system as well as the cavity design, need forgiveness in my wedge game for sure.
Current wedges are Edel SMS 50 54 58
Would pick Edison 53 57
I find it interesting that they are releasing odd numbers then later coming with odd numbers. Different than most.
Cleveland Tour Action 52 and 60
Would like 52 and 60
“Forgiveness without sacrificing shot making”.
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag? Cleveland Fullface2 56* & Callaway Paradym X 51*
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2) 53 and 58
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? Increased forgiveness, Koehler Sole, Playability. Really like the looks of these wedges.
Good luck to all those that enter!
I currently play Ping Glide 3.0 wedges in 54* and 60* with standard soles. I would love to test 53* and 59* Edison 2.0 wedges. The real selling points for me are the Koehler sole and the design for average players, as opposed to tour players. I used to think I had the sole and bounce options down, but that’s proving to be ridiculous. Conditions change and the versatility of the Koehler Sole would be a huge benefit in different conditions as well as mental confidence.
1. Titleist Vokey Sm8s (52, 56, 60)
2. Would love a 56 and 60
3. What stood out was how they “worked well from a variety of skills and applications”, and they were designed with amateurs in mind.
1. Currently play PXG Sugar Daddy 54 and 58
2. Would like to try the Edison in a 56 and 60
3. Most interested in finding out how the new TK sole interacts with different turf conditions, should be enlightening.
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag?
– Tour Edge Exotics CB Pro S 50*
– Callaway Mack Daddy 4 54-10 S Grind
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2)
– Edison 2.0 51* and 55* – it would be awesome to test graphite shaft PGI 100 in Stiff Flex (first time in wedges) and Midsize grip
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
– You had me at “Pearl Chrome” otherwise anything to increase my wedge spin is a positive
Talking to Terry Koehler last year before picking out the exact wedges last year was great. It was cool to hear his thoughts and he got me to pick a different wedge combination to try and I wound up really liking the 49* wedge.
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag?
cobra snake bite all black
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2)
53 57
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
the versatility sounds great. The finish looks sharp too.
Good luck to any and all right handers that apply!
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag? “Set” wedges from my Adams a7os iron set: pw, gap, sw, lw
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2) Would love the 45* & 49*
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? The relocated weight higher in the face.
Vokey SM6 50*, Callaway MD4 54* and 60*
Would love to try a 50* and 55*
Love all the different loft options , the sole and finish.
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag?
Ping Glide 3.0 50* 54* 58* Ping Glide pro forged 62*
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2)
51 degree and 55 degree. I use my 50 degree on full swings a lot , and chip with my 54. I figure these lofts will give me the best head to head comparison.
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
Higher CG helping with lower trajectory and higher spin. I’ve read this about Edel before and as an Aggie I read all of Terry Koehlers articles.
I would be all over this one, if I hadn’t just picked up the new wedges from Edel.
Good luck everyone
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag?
I have Edison Wedges 50* and 55*
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2)
50* and 55*
3. What features from the article linked above stand out?
The whole new design. Edison wedges are great so I’m interested to see the playing difference between the new design and the previous ones I have already.
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag? Callaway MD5 & Full Toe Wedgers
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2) I would choose 54* & 60*
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? The TK grind. I remember listening to him on Off Course and surprised to hear Tiger took his grinds on his wedges.
Currently playing the 309 WishonHCG wedges.
Let’s try the 56°
Interested in how much weight high on the head maximizes the spin, and weight effects on high strike distances.
The “clean” look of these is super appealing. I’m hoping someone chooses a high loft. Curious to hear how easy of a club it is to hit.
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag? Edison 50,55,60
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2) 49,59
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? Best features are the moving the sweetspot up to better fit where the rest of us hit the clubface. Happy with my Edisons, love to try out the 2.0’s
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag? Clevland RTX 3 (49 degree and 56 degree)
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2) (49 degree and 57 degree)
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? The fact the dispersion is reduced because the CG is higher. The consistency in distance is huge for me.
1. What wedges do you currently have in the bag? Bridgestone XW-1
2. What lofts of the Edison 2.0 wedges would you like to test (pick 2): 53, 57
3. What features from the article linked above stand out? The sole and weighting
1. Currently I am playing the original Edison Wedges. I upgraded from Callaway Jaws last year.
2. I am currently playing a 53 and 59 degree set, so would like to trst the same lofts.
3. Current Edisons have moved the weight up in the wedge to keep ball flight down while keeping the spin up. I would like to see how Edison has improved that in version 2.0 by moving the weight even higher. Also like to test the improved sole over the original version.
These wedges are designed for players like me carry a 12 handicap.
Currently all Callaway in the bag and Jaws Raw for wedges, 50, 54, 58 in winter and 52, 56, 60 in summer.
Would like to test Edel’s at 52 and 56
Really interested in the different design features to Jaws in particular how the bounce and grinds feel.
